Celebrating 30 years supporting families in 2017
Home-Start Kennet (also known locally as HSK) is one of a network of 340 local Home-Starts in the UK. We are a voluntary organisation that offers friendship, support and practical help to parents with young children in their own homes.
We are celebrating our 30th year in 2017 and work with families from all walks of life throughout Marlborough, Pewsey, Devizes and Tidworth and their surrounding villages. We have also now expanded our area to cover Calne and Chippenham. Families are referred to us through a number of avenues including Health Visitors, the Army Welfare Service, Parent Support Advisors or you can approach us direct by completing a Self Referral Form.
We recruit and train parent-volunteers to provide support which is tailored to the individual needs of each family. Our volunteers offer a valuable skilled listening ear, so that parents themselves can find constructive solutions to the problems they are facing. We are currently recruiting volunteers for a training course commencing 22nd February 2017. Please visit the Volunteers section of this website for more information.
We welcome feedback from all involved with HSK. If you would like to feedback on your experiences please click here
